Fethiye & Tasyaka

Fethiye is the pretty harbour town, trade centre and now a thriving tourist resort. It has grown rapidly over the past 10 years due to the popularity of Oludeniz and its famed lagoon (20 minutes), and the 18km of beach in the nearby resort of Calis (5 minutes). Fethiye is decidedly Turkish in feel. Its maze of little streets are lined with all variety of shops, bars, restaurants and nightlife and the new palm lined harbour promenade, now stretching almost to Calis, is great for a lazy stroll with a refreshing sea breeze throughout the year.

Fethiye was once a Lycian City and traces of the ancient settlements can be found throughout the town including cliff side rock tombs and an amphitheatre you literally stumble across in Paspaturs centre. Fethiye town itself has no beach but is within easy access of Calis and Oludeniz. Fethiye, and the affluent suburb of Karagozler set on the harbour side, just a few minutes from the centre, will appeal to those wanting to stay in the heart of things, make use of the excellent transport links, those interested in Turkish culture, and those who want to live amongst the locals.

Tasyaka is located just 5 minutes drive from Fethiye towards Oludeniz. The area of Tasyaka, set high on the hillside above Fethiye town, has seen a boom in growth over recent years. The once decidedly Turkish community is now mixed with foreigners enjoying some of the best sea views in the region, and the sunsets from the across the bay and surrounding mountains are simply breathtaking. The constant breeze and lack of mosquitoes (yes really!) are also a joy most would think would come at a premium.  Tasyaka is a growing area with land and property prices increasing steadily. The area is ideally suited to year round living, a superb location for a holiday home or tipped by us as one of the best long term investment locations in the region.

Until recently Deliktas was simply farmland with a scattering of traditional houses. The last few years have seen the area boom with life and development with property prices rising as a result. Turkish families and foreigners live side by side sharing local amenities, shopping in nearby Fethiye (5 minutes), or catching the dolmus to the beautiful beaches of Calis or Oludeniz, just 15 minutes bus ride away.
