Oludeniz, Ovacik & Hisaronu
Oludeniz is quite simply beautiful. It’s famed blue lagoon now the signature coastal image for Turkey. Until the mid-90’s Oludeniz was the haunt of backpackers who were attracted from around the world to marvel at the crystal clear waters of the famous lagoon and camp on the beach at the foot of Babadag Mountain, a colossal 6800ft above. Intervening years have seen the pretty little bay fill with hotels, cafes, bars and restaurants, leaving it today a hive of activity from April through to November. This area really is one of the rare places on earth that you can be as active or as lazy as you wish. The choice of activities are endless – paragliding, micro-lighting, diving, sailing, canyoning, quad-biking to name but a few. The history of the region is simply stumbled upon wherever you go and the beauty of the coastline is astounding. This is why the area has attracted so many investors over recent years. The bay of Olu Deniz is now protected meaning no residential building can take place.
The nearby resorts of Hisaronu and Ovacik, just a 5 minutes bus ride up the hill, have now grown to accommodate the rising tourist trade and in turn the increasing demand for land and property in the region. Once sleepy farming villages, Ovacik and Hisaronu have grown rapidly and today play home to a lively community of ex-patriots and Turkish alike, all enjoying the refreshing cool mountain breeze and excellent transport links to Olud
eniz (5 minutes) and the pretty harbour town of Fethiye (15 minutes). Both resorts are excellent choices for anyone wishing to either live in the area permanently or gain a healthy rental income. We have a good selection of properties in Hisaronu and apartments and villas for sale in Ovacik. Hisaronu tends to be the most lively of the resorts with many restaurants, shops and bars now open year round. Ovacik tends to be more residential. Both areas are continuing to undergo development due to rising demand and land prices in Ovacik can seem high as a result. With this in mind, get in on an investment here now if you want to gain a healthy return.
Faralya is a traditional, unspoilt village located just 6km along the cliff road from Olu Deniz. This area is quite remote but offers some of the most stunning, uninterrupted sea views in the region. Now starting to attract interest from investors, we recommend Faralya to anyone looking for a property off the beaten track in a truly stunning location.
